Abstract :
Due to the rapid and unpredictable process of technological changes, companies face intense competition and take special measures to transform innovative ideas into marketable products. Knowledge and financial performance are important, which in combination with market orientation can achieve superior performance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of tacit and explicit knowledge on financial performance through the mediating role of market orientation and innovation in technology companies of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. This research is an applied research and descriptive-correlational research in terms of purpose. The statistical population consisted of 160 technology companies that based on Morgan table, 113 companies were selected as a stratified random sample. The data collection tool in this research is a standard questionnaire whose validity was confirmed in the face and content dimensions with experts' opinion and in quantitative dimension through confirmatory factor analysis, convergent and divergent validity. Also, the reliability of the instrument was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha and compound reliability. Data analysis was done by structural equation modeling and PLS software. The results of the research indicate that tacit and explicit knowledge directly affect market orientation and market-oriented also influences innovation, market orientation. affects financial performance and innovation also affects financial performance and on the other hand, implicit and explicit knowledge influences financial performance through market-oriented mediator variable and finally, market orientation through the mediating variable of innovation could affect financial performance.
